Happy Holidays! December is officially upon us, and with it, one of the busiest times of the year! Not only are businesses and artisans like me working hard to make sure we have plenty of holiday gifts and decorations ready to go, but most people are also working hard on their holiday plans, traveling to see family, and even attending community events and celebrations!
There is a lot to do!
Here in Colorado we’re also seeing fresh snow, and temperatures are getting colder after a warmer Fall. It’s really starting to feel like Winter, and a few of us are even starting to hope that we might have a rare snowy holiday or two this year!
Here in my jewelry workshop I might not have the help of Santa’s Elves, but you wouldn’t know it with all the jewelry coming together.
Of course, Christmas is far from the only important holiday coming up this holiday season. Hanukkah, Bodhi Day, Yule, Kwanza, Boxing Day, New Years are just a few of the major holidays this month and next. Not to mention that many countries around the world are celebrating their independence days, or celebrating their constitutions.
There are also many smaller holidays in December, with something for everyone to celebrate almost every day of the year.
So, whether you’re curling up on the couch to watch This Wonderful Life, or gathering with friends and family to light a candle on your Menorah, there really is something incredible about this time of year for just about everyone.
No matter what you are celebrating, or not celebrating, this year, I hope that you have a warm home, plenty of food, comfort, and the company of people who love you this Holiday Season.
Still Shopping for Last Minute Holiday Gifts?
One of the things that’s a little different about the Holiday Season in December, vs the other holidays sprinkled throughout the year, is that there are a lot of holidays that involve an exchange of gifts in December.
That means that there are a lot of people who see the month change from November to December and realize that they need to start getting presents!
Don’t worry if you’re in that group and scrambling for a few last minute presents this holiday season. There’s still some time to get your holiday jewelry present orders in with Earth Song Jewelry.
Hurry though, since all of my natural stone jewelry and accessories are handmade, I do have a short lead time before your jewelry will ship.
Don’t forget that a lot of shipping companies are also starting to feel the holiday crunch, and shipping times are going to start being a little longer than usual. If you live in an urban area you shouldn’t see too many changes to your shipping schedule. But if you live in a suburb or a more rural part of the country, you might want to get to ordering! Shipping delays tend to be longer and more frequent in areas with lower population density.
Better to get your gifts early than to let them arrive a little too late!
