What color is Aquamarine stone jewelry - blue or green?

Aquamarine varies in color from a very light to a darker blue and from lighter blue-green to dark teal-blue. It is not a purely green stone. The depth and hue of an Aquamarine's color are due to the level and type of iron found in the stone. Ferrous iron gives Aquamarine its blue color, while ferric iron adds a slightly green hue. My Aquamarine stones are shades of blue, not blue-green or teal.
