June is one of the months that is lucky to have a lot of different options when it comes to your birthstones. There are three different recognized stones for June births, Moonstone, Alexandrite, and Pearl.
When I’m making June Birthstone jewelry I typically use Moonstone, in part because of the range of colors and mesmerizing opalescence that the stone is known for.
Right now, Earth Song Jewelry offers two different colors of Moonstone, Peach Moonstone and Black Moonstone, or Larvikite.
Technically Larvikite isn’t a Moonstone, but rather another stone in the Feldspar group (which includes Moonstone and Labradorite among others), but its similar appearance means that Larvikite has long been considered Black Moonstone despite some light chemical differences from classic Moonstone.

Handmade Moonstone Jewelry Gifts
One quick disclaimer before I get into the guide. The product photos I use on my website are accurate to the design of the jewelry, but the stones themselves are unique. The stones I use are going to be the same size, type, and shape, and generally similar in color and appearance, but they can’t be identical since I use 100% naturally formed stones and crystals, rather than lab-created versions of the same mineral.
As a nature-inspired handmade jewelry artisan, I think the variation between stones is beautiful. But it does mean that slight cosmetic differences exist between individual pieces of my jewelry, even jewelry made with the same pattern and same type of crystal.

Peach Moonstone Curves Earrings
Peach Moonstone is a slightly more colorful variant of Moonstone than the typical white stones. It’s a lovely coral orange, slightly paler than the inside of a ripe peach, with swirls of delicate changing color visible from the surface of the stone.
Like other Moonstones, Peach Moonstone does have a delicate flash of color, though it tends to be more in the white, yellow, and orange range of color rather than the blues of other Moonstones.
