The winter holidays might have just happened, but it’s not time to relax just yet. Valentine's day is just around the corner, and if you have a special someone in your life, now is the time to start thinking about what you’re going to get for the big day.

Valentine's Day isn’t just about showing your appreciation to the special people in our lives, it’s also a chance to indulge in a little extra romance. Or maybe you have plenty of romance in your day to day life, but want to take a moment to have a softer, quieter moment.

Jewelry is one of the most classic presents for any holiday, but especially Valentine’s Day. Natural stone jewelry can add an additional layer of meaning to your gift, either from the meaning of the stones themselves, or because of the unique appearance of handmade natural stone jewelry.

At the same time, many people shopping for natural stone jewelry Valentine’s Day gifts are looking for something especially meaningful, or because they want to use the stones in the jewelry to manifest something into their relationship.

My Valentine’s Day Gifts Jewelry Collection includes jewelry selected with that intent in mind. There are many stones representing different kinds of love, or different kinds of emotional attachment. So your gift might not only be a way of showing the person you love how much you care about them, but also invoking and committing to working on your relationship and helping your love continue to grow.

Of course, this is also the perfect holiday to give pink or red jewelry gifts, since those colors naturally remind us of love and romance. With that in mind, I’ve picked out some of the best handmade natural stone jewelry for Valentine’s Gifts. Other colors, like purple and blue, are also included for those who don’t like pink.

As always, if you have something a little different in mind for your Valentine’s gifts this year, you can pick a different set any time. It’s easy to shop by stone, birthstone, or color.

Handmade Jewelry Presents for Valentines Day

Choosing the right gifts for Valentine’s Day can be a bit tricky, but there are a few things to keep in mind. For one thing, think about what the person getting the gift will like. What are their favorite colors? What kind of jewelry do they normally wear, or wish they could wear?

Try to choose colors and designs you think they will like. Better yet, try to remember what they already have in their jewelry collections, and see if you can find something you think they will like that is different from what they already have.

Rose Quartz Pendulum Earrings

Looking for something a little more pink? Rose Quartz is a wonderful Valentine’s Day gift, and not just because it’s a pink stone. Rose Quartz is one of the love stones, and is thought to help encourage deeper and more honest and open relationships. Of course, it’s not just about romantic relationships, it is thought to help the wearer with all different kinds of relationships in their lives.

Take Rose Quartz and add my elegant pendulum design, and you have a winning combination for any occasion, not just Valentine's Day!

Tanzanite Heart Hoop Earrings

If you’re looking for a stone in a different color, but with the same romantic message, natural stone Tanzanite is a good option. Tanzanite usually appears pale purple to blue, but it’s color shifting crystalline form means that these stones will look just a little different from different angles. They’ll also change colors slightly in different kinds of light.

That’s because of how the light is refracted in the Tanzanite, changing which wavelengths are moving in which directions, changing the appearance of the stone when the light reaches your eyes.

These Tanzanite Heart Hoop Earrings are a romantic shape, balanced by the Tanzanite’s less-traditional hue. They’re a fantastic gift if your special someone appreciates gestures, but doesn’t want something in Valentine’s pink.

Raw Amethyst Studs

Amethyst is one of the most valued precious stones, thanks to its rich violet hue. These stones come in a wide variety of colors and patterns, but I look for the richest color in my raw Amethyst pieces.

Because the Amethyst is raw, the exact shape of the stones can vary from earring to earring, making every pair unique. My Raw Amethyst Studs are fantastic present for people who love Amethysts, people who love the color purple, or anyone who prefers to wear jewelry that’s a little off the beaten path.

These Amethyst studs are also a Royal Purple, which can be another hidden meaning behind your Valentine’s Day present. Purple was the reserved color of royalty in part because of how expensive it was, and how much labor it took to produce purple dyes.

Relationships are about respect, but they also take work, ongoing labor and effort, to make the relationship work. So giving your partner a Royal Purple piece of jewelry can be a symbol of how much you love and respect them, but also of the commitment you and your partner have both made to make it this far in your relationship.

Artistic Organic Amethyst Heart Hoops

Last, but far from least, another pair of Heart Hoops. These earrings combine raw Amethyst in organic and unpredictable shapes with a gorgeous stylized Sterling Silver heart.

These earrings might seem a little overly romantic at first, but they are a sweet way to show how much you care this Valentines Day. If you want something sweet, non-traditional, and artistic, my Artistic Organic Amethyst Heart Hoops are a fantastic choice.

Artistic Hearts Sterling Silver Hoops

If you like the idea of giving your partner a romantic gift for Valentine’s Day, but know that they prefer to wear minimalistic jewelry, my Sterling Silver Artistic Hearts are a good option. These earrings are handmade, like all of my jewelry, and eliminating the decorative stones makes it easier to see the form of the silver.

There’s a beautiful balance in the heart shape, and I intentionally exaggerate the curve by hammering the end of one side of each heart, giving it a little more weight and attention. The reason I love this design on its own, even without natural stone ornaments, is that it helps to elevate the heart. Too often we think that hearts are cheesy or childish, forgetting that Valentine’s Day, and the heart shape used to express romance, really are beautiful testaments to the emotion and commitment true love takes.

Like these earrings, love is one part natural, one part hard work and commitment to your partner.

Pink Rhodochrosite Hoops

Hoops are one of the most classic types of earrings, and hoop lovers often collect variations on the design to help accent different outfits, or dress up their classic look for different occasions.

If your partner happens to a hoop earring lover, my Pink Rhodochrosite Hoops are a great choice. Not only are they graceful, with some added weight and ornamentation thanks to the beautiful hues of natural Rhodochrosite stones.

Rhodochrosite is also a particularly meaningful choice of present for Valentine’s Day, since Rhodochrosite’s stone meaning is Passion.

Valentine’s Day is about love, but it’s also about Passion. It’s about the Passion you have for that someone special in your life, and an opportunity to express that Passion even if you don’t have time or energy to include it in your everyday life.

After all, Valentine’s Day is a holiday that gives you explicit permission to be overly romantic, loving, and passionate. So why not give your partner a gift that brings that romance and passion to the forefront, every time your partner wears your new gift.

Blushing Pink Fire Polished Czech Glass Columns Earrings

Earth Song Jewelry is all about the beauty of natural stones and honoring the wonderful creations of natural processes. That’s why I use natural stones in almost all of my handmade jewelry.

However, glass is the result of a natural process as well, even if it is usually created by people. The incredible versatility and flexibility of nature’s many resources are one of the things I appreciate about the natural world and the planet we live on.

That’s part of why I decided to add wonderful Czech Fire Polished Glass to my jewelry making. For Valentine’s Day, I’ve chosen a classic pale pink color for my Valentine’s Day Collection - in part as a celebration of the softer side of love.

The pale pink of my Blushing Pink Czech Fire-Polished Glass Columns naturally evoke the softness of pink, and will look particularly striking on people with cool-toned skin, or when paired with other pale neutrals and pastel clothing.

While some couples might use Valentine’s Day to celebrate the passion of their relationship, one reason I recommended my Rhodochrosite Hoops a moment ago, other couples might want to use Valentine’s Day to celebrate the softer side of love. The small decisions we make every day to love, honor, and appreciate the people we care about.

No matter what your relationship looks like, or what kind of Valentine’s Day celebration makes sense for you and your partner, or partners, there is meaningful natural stone jewelry that your partner is sure not only to love, but also has special meanings for your relationship in particular.
