Description
These iridescent Labradorite stones are named "Blue Flash Labradorite" for a reason - they have a striking glow to them. The small, micro-cut, faceted stones throw shimmers of blue and silver in every direction.
It's very difficult to catch the blue iridescent flashes with my camera. I included an image of these stones in a pile so you can see how they catch the light.

About The Stone
About Labradorite
Labradorite is named for where it was found in Labrador, a Canadian province on the Isle of Paul. Inuits once called Labradorite a "fire stone" and would use powdered forms to help cure ailments. According to Inuit legend, a warrior saw the Northern Lights trapped in the rocks and struck them with his spear to free some of the lights. Labradorite is known for its brilliant flashes of color called labradoressence - caused by lamellar twinning inside the crystal.
Metaphysical Properties
Labradorite is considered a tremendously spiritual stone, said to temper the negativity within ourselves.
