What Colors Does Tanzanite Jewelry Come In?
Tanzanite is a stone that actually always has two colors, which show up more or less depending on the light and how the stone is cut. This stone is always both blue and violet, though the stones that get made into jewelry are usually more one or the other.
However, you might notice when you’re looking at my handmade Tanzanite jewelry that I use the mixed blue-violet and periwinkle hues as well as the purer blues and violets.
Don’t be surprised if your Tanzanite jewelry looks a little different in different lights or at different angles. This stone naturally changes color slightly depending on what light it’s in, which makes it even more striking in jewelry.
Is Tanzanite Good For Handmade Jewelry?
Tanzanite is a great stone for handmade jewelry thanks to its unique colors and beautiful presentation. This stone is moderately hard, which does mean that it’s best for gentle wear and use, but it’s beautiful no matter what.

All of the Sterling Silver I use is sourced from reliable providers who never use nickel in their products. Like using only natural stones in my handmade jewelry, maintaining the quality of the metals I use is important to me.

Does Tanzanite Have Any Special Meanings?
Like a lot of the stones that have been discovered more recently, Tanzanite does have some special meanings, but not as many as stones that have been used in jewelry longer than Tanzanite.
In modern use, people associate Tanzanite with calmness, intuition, and youthfulness.
