About Rhodochrosite
The vivid color rage of Rhodochrosite has made it famous and one of the most sought after stones for jewelry. Rhodochrosite can appear in colors from light pink, to deep raspberry, to bright red. Its distinguishing trait is the stone's thick banding pattern of its colors plus bands of white and tan, which gives the stone its dimensional quality.
Rhodochrosite is one of the rarest stones in the world. It can only be found in a few locations across the globe, including the United States where it's recognized as Colorado's state mineral for its rich deposits there.
NOTE: Rhodochrosite is a softer stone and should be cared for with a clean polishing cloth or plain soapy water. Do not put it in ultrasonic cleaners or use any harsh cleaning chemicals.
Metaphysical Properties
Rhodochrosite is known for passion, courage and fortitude.
About Argentium Sterling Silver
Argentium® – The Finest Silver - is a purer version of Sterling Silver that is also highly tarnish resistant. Standard "Sterling Silver" is an alloy composed of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. This is why you may also see "925 Sterling Silver" for items that are Sterling Silver.
Argentium® is made with 93.5% silver and 6.5% other metals, including germanium and copper, which gives Argentium® additional beneficial properties for jewelry makers. For my jewelry, the biggest benefit of using Argentium® instead of regular Sterling Silver is that it is anti-tarnish. It is also not plated, it is 100% Argentium® Sterling Silver - so there is no worry about plating rubbing off. Argentium® Sterling Silver jewelry is always hypoallergenic.
In addition to these benefits, Argentium® is responsibly manufactured, ethically sourced, and certified to be made with 100% recycled silver.
NOTE: Argentium® Silver jewelry should never be cleaned using silver "dip" cleaners. Please either wipe with a soft cloth or use only water and mild dish soap if you need to clean your Argentium® Sterling Silver jewelry.
I have many Argentium® products - and if you see something I've made with standard Sterling Silver, it's highly likely I can make it for you using Argentium® if you would like. Just contact me to ask!
