By The Sea ~ Handmade Sterling Silver Dangling/Drop Earrings for Women

Feminine and delicate, these By The Sea earrings let you become one with nature. Sand Dollars are beautiful on their own, so I crafted a simple sterling silver ear wire for these beauties. Bring a piece of the beach to your boho chic look with this coastal jewelry.

I carefully source my stones, metals and materials from reputable suppliers who also have a mission to run an eco-friendly & green business and participate in ethical & sustainable jewelry trade practices.

I want you to know that I stand behind my handmade jewelry with a 100% GUARANTEE!

  • I GUARANTEE that I handmade your piece of jewelry myself, here in Colorado.
  • I GUARANTEE that my Sterling Silver jewelry is made with genuine 925 Sterling Silver or 935 Argentium® Sterling Silver, as described in the product's details.

About Sand Dollars

NOTE: The Sand Dollars are FRAGILE, so please store these earrings on their own, not mixed in with your other jewelry.

Sand Dollars are a species of extremely flattened burrowing sea urchins. When alive, they have many different colors. When they die, their external velvet-like spines fall off, which leaves just the rigid skeleton (called a "test"). Sand Dollar skeletons can become white from either natural sun bleaching, or manually using a bleach solution. Note it is illegal in the USA to take a living Sand Dollar from the beach/ocean, only dead Sand Dollars may be collected.

Metaphysical Properties

Mythologically, Sand Dollars are believed to be coins at the ocean's surface leftover from the lost city of Atlantis. Much like the Sand Dollar's unpredictable journey to the shore, Sand Dollars encourage the wearer to invite change and adapt to life's currents.

My jewelry journey began decades ago, when I wanted to wear jewelry that conveyed my passion for the artistic spirit of nature and the outdoors- so I learned to craft it myself!

I've honed my skills over the years. Five years ago, I decided to make my jewelry available to all who connect with the natural world... which I do through my website and in shops & galleries.

My love of nature led me to become a Conservation Colorado Green Business Leader Partner. To help protect our land, air and water, I donate 10% of my proceeds to Conservation Colorado.
