Ice Flake Quartz is created by taking Quartz and heating it until if forms a wild array of internal cracks that reflect light. Colored Ice Flake Quartz such as this purple faceted stone have been colored during the heating process. Additionally, the stones for these earrings have been faceted (like a diamond) to reflect even more light.
